This weekend we will be at the Festival of the Fish in Vermilion, Ohio, which is also famous for the lion-worms that course up and down the Vermilion River terrifying children and steel-head trout (according to the children’s fantasy in my novel Canoedling in Cleveland). The novel also contains a story of my three teen protagonists canoeing down the Vermilion River from Birmingham to Lake Erie. The river, which is home of the Vermilion canoe race each spring, is a beautiful, natural, unpolluted river. The festival itself will have bands, fireworks, food, and many other attractions. So we are looking forward to talking with people and sharing with them my novel for all ages.
