but let’s leave politics out of it!!
This was at Fairview Park Summerfest, July 8, 9, and 10, 2016, in Fairview Park, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, one of the settings for my novel Canoedling In Cleveland, which we were selling there.
A year earlier we were at nearby Parma-Snow Public Library, in Westlake at the 45th Annual Westlake Historical Society Antique and Craft Fair, and at the Vermilion (Ohio) Festival of the Fish, and later at Author Alley, Loganberry Books in Shaker Heights, Ohio, part of the Larchmere Festival (www.larchmere.com). We introduced the book in 2014 at the Burning River Festival on Whiskey Island in Cleveland.
If you happen to live in Cleveland, you can find the book at Cleveland Public Library, the Cuyahoga County Public Library System and at libraries in Rocky River, Lakewood, Fairview Park, Westlake, Bay Village, etc.
We enjoyed introducing people to the book, and my others, as people streamed past on their way to the carnival, food and craft booths, the car show, live bands, Latin jazz, pie-eating contest, pooch parade, and as people hawked their wares in booths, pretty girls invited people to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, politicos urged people to support their candidate, and young boys walked by with signs crying, “Vote For [Whatsitsname].” It was fun, and we sold lots of books.
If you’re purchasing Canoedling In Cleveland online, look for the SECOND EDITION, AUGUST 2016, WITH FOUR NEW ILLUSTRATIONS in paperback and in Kindle.
SNEAK PREVIEW: Look for my next novel this fall. It’s an interfaith love story that revolves around the construction of a mosque in rural Maryland.
